  • You start you’re morning feeling ready for your day ahead, only to find after a few hours at work you are feeling tired and agitated.
  • Sometimes people get too close when you’re going through the check out in the supermarket and you start to feel edgy but you’re not sure why.
  • And you have felt a real heaviness when you come out of a crowed place, leaving you feeling drained.

 

So what does energy have to do with my feelings being affected by others?

Our energy, over time may have mixed with energy from places you’ve been and people you have come in contact with which can subtly, and sometimes not so subtly, influence how you feel. If you have been working or living in a stressful environment you may have inadvertently taken on some of the stress, which could leave you feeling cross or annoyed. You may feel someone’s negative energy is impacting on how you live your life but you don’t know how to change it. You may feel you’re carrying a weight on your shoulders that’s not yours.

If you find you are dealing with difficult situations every day, learning these three simple empowering techniques will change your life. They did for me. When you are open and sensitive, and working closely with others, you will find you need to use clearing, protection and grounding constantly.

So what are clearing, grounding and protection?

They are three techniques that I have developed over the years to help me work with clients in stressful situations and not become immersed in their energy. It can become very draining when this happens. I use it when I am working with clients, working with spirit, clearing my chakra centres, in fact I would never not use it. It is a part of me being responsible for being a sensitive and working as a counsellor and coach.

Clearing– By clearing, you remove unwanted energy, enabling protection to stop your energy from becoming depleted and grounded so that you are not pulled in different directions. These techniques will give you a greater sense of control over your own live.

Grounding – By being grounded you are present in reality rather than your thoughts being all over the place. When you are grounded you are equally balanced between the spiritual and Earthly realms which means you can get on with your daily life in a much more harmonious way.

Golden Rose Protection -Energy Protection is very important, especially as you become more sensitive as your energy lightens. As the vibration around you increases to a higher frequency you become more like a lighthouse beacon shining out in the darkness. You attract other people with the same level of frequency, or others with a denser vibration. There is also the same possibility for any negative energy to attach to you.

The energy around our world in the ethric layer appears as a heavy and very dense fog-like substance, a bit like thick soup. When a light globe is switched on, much like someone beginning to awaken to their soul and spiritual journey, they send out a beautiful, warm, bright and gentle light through the fog and the dense energy. This attracts others in the vicinity or any negative energy that may be around. To stop this from happening and to stop you from being affected by other people’s energy, thoughts and emotions, learning to use spiritual protection will once again give you some control over what you choose to let into your sacred space. Taking the time to use spiritual protection, while being open to higher energies is important for your spiritual health.

Creating a Sacred space- It is important when doing any kind of spiritual, healing, mindfulness or counselling work that you create a space to work in and to have clear intent. There are many ways in which to do this; by using crystals, the Native American medicine wheel, asking Spirit, and for the Golden Rose Protection (higher form of white light) to surround you and so on.

INTRODUCTION

Have you ever had the feeling that you don’t quite fit into society’s norm? That you’re a bit different to others? For me there was always the spiritual part of my psyche or the conscious awareness that needed to be included when making decisions, and I know that made others feel really uncomfortable at times.

I honestly felt like I was living in a parallel universe. I always wondered if there was anyone else around like me, someone I could relate to. I spent a good part of my life trying to conform, not that it ever really worked.

When I was young I just assumed that everyone was able to see energy around people; to see Spirit, hear Spirit, and know things were going to happen before they did. It was actually quite disheartening to learn this wasn’t the case. Thankfully, everything started to make a lot more sense when I was guided to a Spiritualist Centre where there were other people on the path to spiritual understanding and knowledge. I felt for the first time in my life that I belonged, and that it was okay to walk my path with one foot in my own parallel universe and one on the Earth-plane.

It was here that I began to understand I was searching for my truth, and my truth was interwoven into my search to understand more about Spirit and my Soul’s Journey. What it was I was to do with the knowing and skills I possess. I wanted to know why I was here and what my journey was about. This journey has led me in many different directions, but I have always trusted that everything I was being guided to do was for a reason. In my 50’s I went to university and got a degree in nursing, specialising in mental health. I knew this was something I had to do. I wasn’t sure where it would lead to, but it was some thing I knew I needed to understand more about. I had first hand experience of watching others struggle with mental illness and my desire to understand their predicament was to enhance my own ability to care for them, and thus understand more about what Spirit had in store for me.

At least mental illness is being talked about these days. Not that long ago it was a subject that many found difficult to discuss. However, at some time in our lives, we will all have to deal with it one way or another. Where we may suffer from anxiety, depression, loss or grief. For our purpose here, I’ve incorporated it into grounded spiritual practice in a sensitive and gentle way as I believe we should all be including mental, emotional and spiritual wellness into our personal daily practice. In this course you’re going to read and learn about grounded spiritual practice, and learn to about your own spiritual and soul journey. Understand that we all have lesson’s that we have chosen to work through and knowing about them can change how we choose to deal with them. That in its self is really empowering. We delve into how you can create a different life for yourself with practical, reality-based tools and techniques to help you.. The topics covered and the answers here are what I found worked for me, and hopefully, will work for you too.

Learn about yourself, trust that you are here for a purpose, and that the very essence of your being is to promote a much more loving, balanced and harmonious life for yourself. This, in turn, invokes the ripple effect. You might have heard of it.

Think about what happens when you throw a stone into a pond and you watch the ripples move outward. From the throwing of that one stone so many other things can change. This fascinating phenomenon, when applied to our personal situations, has a great way of changing old attitudes into a new and freer way of being.

You need to be mindful that we are all interconnected, so therefore, what you do, say, and think will impact on others. Whenever you make a change, think of the ripples your behaviour can create.

A good philosophy is to live in harmony with ourselves, be at peace with our world and learn to live in the flow of life.        

Your Soul’s Journey

Your whole purpose of being in this physical reality is to allow your soul to have an Earthly experience, thereby enabling it to evolve and develop awareness and knowledge. Your life challenges, obstacles, blessings and desires, are a part of the journey that your soul needs to experience until it reaches nirvana. Your spiritual gifts and talents can help you achieve the balance between your soul’s experiences and your physical reality, keeping you connected to your soul-self.

You are, after all, a spiritual being having a physical experience, not the other way around. So many of us go searching for something that will help us become spiritual and give our lives a sense of meaning while not understanding that the answers are within, just waiting for you to tap into that pool of knowledge and allow it to unfold.

The Australian Aboriginal, the New Zealand Maori, and the Native American Indian cultures still incorporate their spiritual beliefs and practices into their everyday lives. Their knowledge is handed down from generation to generation so that it is never lost.

In the Maori culture, children grow up learning about the sacredness of the land and sea which provide food for their communities. They learn when to eat certain foods and what plants to use for medicinal purposes. They learn about their tribes. The children are taught to speak their native language so that it is not forgotten. Often, this knowledge comes from spending time with their grandparents and elders, not in the form of formal education as we might know it, but from stories and songs and a vast oral tradition.

The Maori believe all living things are descended from the Gods and are embodied within certain mountains, rivers and lakes. All things have a type of soul – the Wairau. This is one of the reasons the Maori have such strong spiritual ties to the land and sea. They listen to the environment as they would listen to any member of their community.

Solid spiritual practice, or Grounded Spiritual Practice as I like to term it, means listening to and being guided by your inner wisdom and knowing, your intuition and guides, but also being grounded about it all. So let’s try and find some practical ways to bring your unfolding knowledge into your daily existence.

Your spiritual development cannot be rushed but over the 26 weeks of the course your abilities will be allowed to develop and flourish in a safe and empowering environment.

You do not need any experience or spiritual knowledge to join this beginner’s course. Over the weeks you will see your spiritual gifts unfold and learn how to use them to enhance your life.

 

Why do the course? And what will I gain from doing it?

This course is practical and down to earth in it’s grounding approach to your spiritual, psychic and personal development. You will not experience this anywhere else. The course is thorough and allows for plenty of scope in order for you to practice in everyday life, the skills you are learning.

Do I have to complete all the modules?

If you wish to gain the certificate then yes the modules will need to be done. There will be assignments and practical undertakings. Each module will need to be passed in order to move on to the next one.  There will be one week off between each of the modules in order for you to complete your assignment.

How will it run?

The course will start and finish on a set date. It runs for 26 weeks with a week off in between modules. There will be videos, mp3 downloads, Google link ups, workbooks, so that you won’t feel that you are on your own. It will be like being in a global online class. For those who life in Australia we will be looking at having a weekend retreat at the end of the course.

Module 1 – Grounded Spiritual Practice & Meditation

5 weeks-Incorporate Grounded Spiritual Practice in to everyday life is one of the most important aspects of this course, so this first module is learning to do exactly that.

Module 2 – Developing your Intuition & Psychic Abilities

6 weeks- Learning to use and trust in our intuition is one of the gifts we have been given to use, so trusting it, using it and understanding what it is, can really help in situations that occur in our lives.

Module 3 – Guides & Helpers, Mediums, Clairvoyants & Psychics

6 weeks- In this module you will meet you spiritual, teaching and healing guides who will provide information to guide you through different stages of your life.

Module 4 – Clutter Clearing &Personal & Spiritual Development

6 weeks-It is important when learning about your spiritual journey that you don’t forget to look at understanding your personal development. They are interwoven so one affects the other. In this module we delve into patterns of behaviour and negative core beliefs and looking at our spiritual lessons.

Module 5 – Treasure Maps or Vision Boards

3weeks-The vision board or Treasure Map is a wonderful way of setting out your goals. You can do this in any venture that you have. This module is about bringing all that you have learnt together and looking at your vision for the future and where you would like to go next with all that you have learnt in this course.

  • There are no pre-requisites for this course.
  • There will be an interview prior to the commencement of the Course.
  • The course is structured so that each module will be completed successfully before moving on to the next.

It’s okay we have all been there at sometime.

I worked in a very stressful workplace environment and found myself the target of bulling and harassment. I was tired all the time, not sleeping, unproductive, and certainly had no clarity or peace of mind. I didn’t want to go out the front door. I cried a lot basically I gave up I couldn’t see the point. Because I was on work cover I got sent to see a psychologist who did not get me at all. In fact every time I came a way from seeing him I would be in tears. I told him I could see colours around people stupid thing to do really but I was so vulnerable. Lucky I didn’t end up in the mental health unit I was working in.

One of the things I learnt from him though was that sensitive people should not be working in really stressful environments.

  • I started walking out in nature round a lake near us. I would sit and watch the ducks.
  • I meditated and talk to my guide (didn’t tell the psychologist that though).
  • I count my blessings that I have these abilities as they helped me through this period.

Learning meditation, relaxation techniques, and positive psychology, was a lifesaver for me and I could not imagine my life without them now.

My friend convinced me to go and do a transpersonal counselling course with her which was the best thing I ever did. I always told her that if I could find something that was close to Spiritual Psychology I would go. Transpersonal Counselling is.

For you it to will pass

Don’t be afraid to go and see someone and get some professional help. Find someone who gets you and can help. It won’t work if you don’t like them. Keep looking. There will be someone there.

There is no shame in it.

Self-care management techniques:

  • Walk it doesn’t have to be far, but far enough to get the endorphins working ( about 20minutes).
  • Use relaxation techniques.
  • Lessen the amount of caffeine taken daily.
  • Eat a healthy diet: three main meals a day – don’t just graze.
  • Be kind to yourself.
  • Do something just for you.
  • Have your hair cut.
  • Soak in the bath.
  • Sit in the sun.
  • Do nothing.
  • Do yoga or Tai Chi.
  • Ask a friend to look after your children.
  • Never be afraid or ashamed to ask for help; you are human, not superhuman.
  • Talk to someone about how you are feeling, don’t bottle it up.
  • Walking, jogging, and running really help with mental wellness.
  • Meeting up with friends is vital. even if you don’t feel like it. It will get better.
  • Keep up your interests to whatever extent you can.
  • Keep a journal this really helps.

Often the symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression and grief are due to us living our lives out of balance and needing to take responsibility for our own choices in life. But it can all be changed. There is always hope, if you are willing to make a positive difference in your life.
