5 steps to guarding the door to your Sacred Space

Slide1

Guarding the door

  • You start you’re morning feeling ready for your day ahead, only to find after a few hours at work you are feeling tired and agitated.
  • Sometimes people get too close when you’re going through the check out in the supermarket and you start to feel edgy but you’re not sure why.
  • And you have felt a real heaviness when you come out of a crowed place, leaving you feeling drained.

So what does energy have to do with my feelings being affected by others?

Our energy, over time may have mixed with energy from places you’ve been and people you have come in contact with which can subtly, and sometimes not so subtly, influence how you feel. If you have been working or living in a stressful environment you may have inadvertently taken on some of the stress, which could leave you feeling cross or annoyed. You may feel someone’s negative energy is impacting on how you live your life but you don’t know how to change it. You may feel you’re carrying a weight on your shoulders that’s not yours.

If you find you are dealing with difficult situations every day, learning these three simple empowering techniques will change your life. They did for me. When you are open and sensitive, and working closely with others, you will find you need to use clearing, protection and grounding constantly.

So what are clearing, grounding and protection?

They are three techniques that I have developed over the years to help me work with clients in stressful situations and not become immersed in their energy. It can become very draining when this happens. I use it when I am working with clients, working with spirit, clearing my chakra centres, in fact I would never not use it. It is a part of me being responsible for being a sensitive and working as a counsellor and coach.

Clearing– By clearing, you remove unwanted energy, enabling protection to stop your energy from becoming depleted and grounded so that you are not pulled in different directions. These techniques will give you a greater sense of control over your own live.

Grounding – By being grounded you are present in reality rather than your thoughts being all over the place. When you are grounded you are equally balanced between the spiritual and Earthly realms which means you can get on with your daily life in a much more harmonious way.

Golden Rose Protection -Energy Protection is very important, especially as you become more sensitive as your energy lightens. As the vibration around you increases to a higher frequency you become more like a lighthouse beacon shining out in the darkness. You attract other people with the same level of frequency, or others with a denser vibration. There is also the same possibility for any negative energy to attach to you.

The energy around our world in the ethric layer appears as a heavy and very dense fog-like substance, a bit like thick soup. When a light globe is switched on, much like someone beginning to awaken to their soul and spiritual journey, they send out a beautiful, warm, bright and gentle light through the fog and the dense energy. This attracts others in the vicinity or any negative energy that may be around. To stop this from happening and to stop you from being affected by other people’s energy, thoughts and emotions, learning to use spiritual protection will once again give you some control over what you choose to let into your sacred space. Taking the time to use spiritual protection, while being open to higher energies is important for your spiritual health.

Creating a Sacred space- It is important when doing any kind of spiritual, healing, mindfulness or counselling work that you create a space to work in and to have clear intent. There are many ways in which to do this; by using crystals, the Native American medicine wheel, asking Spirit, and for the Golden Rose Protection (higher form of white light) to surround you and so on.

This is a brief description but if you are interested in learning more about energy protection, creating a sacred space, learning about intuition, how you receive your information, auditory, visual, kinaesthetic, and much, much, more.

How not feel drained between clients

wallpaper-830417_1280

This is a problem that seems to be becoming more talked about especially for Healers, Empathetic Counsellors, Mentors, Intuitive readers and so on.

So what is happening?

Sensitive’s, emphatics and those who are intuitive are starting to feel things more deeply, sense things that they weren’t open to before and much, much more aware.

How can we look after ourselves?

We probably all have some ritual that we do or protection that we use, but we are finding that they no longer work. Just as we need to up grade our virus protector on our computers, the same thing applies to our use of energy protection.

We need to change what is not working and be mindful of what our body is telling us.

  • If we need to have more time between clients then do so.
  • If our body says rest then rest, even a 10-minute rest, no reading, just closing your eyes and resting is good.
  • Make sure that you are doing some form of energy protection it is vital to protect your energy from others.
  • You may find you need more alone time.

Here is what I do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKDy-7G1rP0

and I also go into more depth in my free e-book ‘Taking Back Control’

I do need more alone time, a lot more. This year for me has been huge even though I have known what has been happening, it still hadn’t prepared me for how it impacted on my emotions and body.

  • I meditate daily.
  • I use the Golden Rose energy for protection, which I use in conjunction with clearing and grounding and they work. It’s quick and simple.
  • We have tested this little ritual, so you give it ago for a couple of days and then stop and see what happens.

I have included a link above to a video that explains all about how to do it and why it works. If you require more protection, as sometimes you will, I also cut cords at night before going to sleep.

  • Imagine that with a knife, you are cutting the cords that are attached to your chakra centres that are not yours. Making sure you do the back and the front of the chakra centres.
  • Then imagine they are going back to where they belong.
  • Send them back with love.
  • You can also imagine that mirrors all facing outwards are surrounding you. You can use what works for you or the lot. But they need to be done frequently.

See how you go and please pass this on if it helps.

My Life as a Clairvoyant

New-Zealand-Itineraries-South-Island-69

But you look normal !!!!

When are you going to get a real job?

You must be working for the devil

Tell me some numbers in lotto

These are pretty tame but all the same they are things that I would get thrown at me when I first started doing Intuitive Readings. I was born clairvoyant not that I had any idea what that was, as if you would growing up on a farm in the South Island of New Zealand in the 1950- 60’s. That seems like a lifetime ago.

Being born a clairvoyant medium has over the years been both a burden and a blessing. I struggled with coming to terms with these gifts as it is still difficult to try and explain why you are feeling so awful when you are with a lot of people for example in shopping centres, in the city, that’s why I need my own space.

This last year with all the energy shifts has been exceptional draining but when we are through it I’m hoping I can fly, well teleport maybe?????

As a child growing up in a very quiet beautiful part of New Zealand, I realized that other people didn’t see the world quite the same way as I did. My world was crammed full of spirits that no one else could see and I learned the hard way, when giggling at the spirit children playing in my classroom, that life can be more challenging when you are born “gifted”.

I was able to see colour around living things, and felt people’s feelings, which is what emphatics do. I just assumed that every one could do this. As a result of my naivety, I spent a good part of my last two years of primary school, outside in the corridor! My Dad, who also had my abilities to some degree, said just be careful who you talked to about what you see, as not everyone understands. Living on the farm taught me about sustainability, looking after the land we lived on. The peace, the love of animals and the solitude it brought. When at age 13 my parents sold the farm, I was devastated. I told them I was staying and felt lost and betrayed. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was suffering from depression. I was just so sad. But I always knew that God was with me, no matter what, and that always pulled me through, it gave me hope.

I spent most of my younger years trying to fit in, conform, not to be seen as different. I think I did quite a good job, but I was so unhappy. It wasn’t until I met my husband, that I finally had someone who understood me. Living with me would have been a challenge, for I knew when things were right or not, my intuition was very strong and spirit was always in my ear. I knew when it was time to move or that I needed to do something.  Not that I always followed my knowing. For someone who takes that for granted and just flows with it, it’s normal. No proof needed. But when you live in the logical world, it can be hard to cope with. It wasn’t until circumstances had us moving to Wanganui, in the North Island of New Zealand and I started attending a Spiritualist Centre, that I finally truly felt I belonged. They told me they had been waiting for me. That made me think!

When I was younger we used to go to church. The only reason I went was because I loved the singing and the beautiful stained glass windows. When I got to about 12 I wouldn’t go anymore because I knew I could talk to God where I was, he wasn’t always in church. I also knew he had work for me to do, but I didn’t know what that was either.

At the Spiritualist Centre I began my training and it felt like I was just re learning to ride a bike. I learnt to manage my gifts, and to work responsibly with them, which made life a little easier. I knew our move to the North Island was in preparation for our shift to Australia, which when it came, happened quickly! How do you explain to parents this is what spirit wanted us to do? It did sound crazy.

On a spiritual level I never looked back, but on an emotional level I had some very big lessons to learn that nearly pulled me under.

My guide told me at the beginning of this year that in order to help and empower woman I need to have understood their pain, sorrow and struggles. I could have really done with out them, but I do understand what they were saying!

My husband’s serious illness at the beginning of 2000 changed our lives again. There was talk of him being put on the heart transplant list, but fortunately that wasn’t required. Financially we struggled, but always managed. There we a lot of people who helped us and to them, I am eternally grateful.

Through the next five years of many hospital visits to Doctors it was becoming clear that I was being guided to study nursing. At 58 years of age, I got a degree in Nursing, specializing in Mental Health. I realized I loved learning, it’s something you never stop doing! One of the things that I came to really understand over the years and is a big part of my teaching, is that unresolved

Emotional / mental issues can create physical illness.

When working in mental health I was bullied by some staff members, something that should never have happened, but it lead me to move on and get a diploma in Transpersonal Counselling, which was as close to Spiritual Psychology as I could get and I love it..

I got back into running classes, started writing and have now come full circle. ‘Achievable Enlightenment’ is published and another one waiting to be published.

Over the next few months I will be getting back into my Clairvoyant Readings, on Skype and email. Working on developing new e-courses and workshops that will empower and inspire women to take back control of their lives and retreats. I am so excited about all of this. It is like letting me loose in the gardening centre and telling me I can have whatever I want that would be scary.

My purpose is to help you achieve a sustainably happy healthy life and show you how you can do this.

Through Intuitive Readings, Meditation and Intuitive Development Classes.

Until I see you again be happy

5 Tips on Creating a Healthy Work/ Life Balance

original

“Our lives are full of stress: transitions, growing responsibility, our goals, and our work. We may encounter more stressful situations at different times and in various stages as we transverse through our life journey even coping with happy situations can sometimes be stressful.”

  1. Recognising symptoms of stress

We have all experienced stress and no doubt you have a pretty good idea what generates it in your life, and the havoc it can wreak. Most of us would like to have less stress but, it can be difficult to eliminate it entirely as we work, have families.

Stress symptoms can include:

  • Reflux
  • Irritable bowel
  • Ulcers
  • Indigestion
  • Diarrhoea, constipation
  • Heart disease
  • Asthma
  • Immune system related disease
  • Cancer
  • Muscles spasm
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Alcohol and drug misuse and dependence

Understanding the symptoms of stress, can help us understand if we maybe suffering from any one of them. We realize that there is help out there and we must not be afraid to ask for it. Taking care of ourselves is necessary and we must not feel guilty about it.

  1. Making time for yourself

Are you are in a position where another person’s wellbeing depends upon you? This might be your children, your spouse, your work or even just caring for your family.

Making sure that you have me time is vitally important for your own mental, emotional spiritual and physical wellness. Your family and loved ones will benefit from you being well and happy. We can often be so caught up in making sure everyone else is looked after that we forget about the most important person. You. Here are a few quick suggestions for enhancing your mental and emotional wellness by doing every day ordinary things.

  • Walking, jogging and running really help with mental wellness
  • Use relaxation techniques
  • Lessen the amount of caffeine taken daily
  • Do something just for you
  • Soak in the bath
  • Read a book
  • Do yoga or Tai Chi
  • Ask a friend to look after your children
  • Talk to someone about how you are feeling, don’t bottle it up
  • Meeting up with friends is vital
  • Keep up your interests to whatever extent you can
  1. Learning relaxation techniques

Meditation is one of the most powerful tools we have in our modern world. The benefits of meditation are many; it is a naturally relaxing and healing process, which focuses on calming the mind and relaxing the physical body.

Relaxation meditation is based on focusing attention on consecutive areas of the body and relaxing the muscles by tensing and releasing, until the process is completed throughout the whole body. It allows the mind to be eased of the

physical state of consciousness and enjoy a heightened sense of relaxation and wellbeing.

  1. Having enough sleep

Sleep is just as important as food and water in order for our body to function efficiently. The problem is that a lot of us don’t get the amount of sleep our bodies really require. Sleep deprivation can lead to learning difficulties, lack of concentration, fatigue and often-impaired judgement which inturn can lead to accidents happening. Most adults require around seven to eight hours of sleep per night, so what happens if they only get six? This two-hour loss of sleep can have a major impact on how they function during their day.

Here is a list of tips and tools see which ones work for you:

  • Waking at the same time every day, and going to bed at the same time each night. Setting a routine really helps.
  • Try not to have alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine before bed, as they can make it harder to get to sleep, and cause your sleep to be unsettled.
  • Try reducing your TV or computer time in the evenings. Take TV’s out of your bedroom.
  • Try not to nap during the day, as this’ll make it harder to sleep in the evening, in saying that if your body requires a nana nap then have a short one, 10 minutes can make all the difference.
  • Exercise first thing in the morning, or on your lunch break, getting outdoors in the fresh air can do wonders. Raise a slight sweat when doing it. By exercising we release tension Sunlight can help reset your body clock.
  • Learnrelaxation and meditation techniques to help you switch you mind off in the evenings.
  1. Eating Well

You have heard it before, ‘Eating well is really good for you’. The reason you have heard it is because it is true.

Denise Linn, in her book the Mystic Cookbook said; “food is so much more than food, your approach to it, can open up pathways to spiritual renewal”.

Whenever you are preparing food, or about to eat it, treat the food with the respect it deserves. Make this time a joyful time not just a chore. Give thanks for it and eat with the intention that the food will heal and strengthen your body.

We need food to fuel our body but it is what we eat that makes the difference.

When you eat a well-balanced diet:

  • You will have a lot more energy
  • You will feel good and look healthier
  • Your immune system will function as it should
  • Your thoughts will be clear and you will find that you handle stress better
  • The likelihood of you getting diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease will decrease.

Having the right attitude goes a long way if you seriously want to change your eating habits. Work on changing your attitude and giving thanks. Using positive affirmations. Asking for help when you need it.

Here are a few tips that can help:

  • Take baby steps, just trying one thing at a time. Making too many changes at once can lead to disaster. Or no change at all.
  • Start with something easy, a piece of fruit or a salad or both if you want, on the first day. Just work your way gradually into what you want to achieve.
  • If you struggle with three meals a day break them up into 6 smaller meals.
  • Experiment with various foods and see which you like.
  • Try not to skip meals.
  • Don’t cut everything out completely just, decrease the amount. You are more likely to stick with eating well if you let yourself eat less healthy foods once in a while.
  • If you don’t like a lot of veggies juice them, this is healthy and you are still get your required amount of healthy food.

Learn to meditate in my FREE  meditation e-course will help reduce the symptoms of stress, getting enough sleep and with your general wellbeing.
